There are so-called leaders all around. You probably know someone that is in a leadership position that should have never been put there. Knowing that there are ‘leaders’ like this in the world should discourage you from becoming like one of them. So how do you separate yourself from the rest of the so-called leaders and establish yourself as a leader whom everyone will want to follow?

A true leader has two main characteristics about them. The first is the ability to motivate. Leaders must be able to not only motivate themselves, but also be able to motivate and inspire those they are leading. Of course, the best way to motivate people is to truly be passionate about what you are doing. People long to follow someone who is passionate about something.

The second characteristic that a true leader must have is the ability to create successful habits in their lives. Successful habits are the glue that keeps everything together between the time where the motivation began and the end when success is achieved. Habits will make or break a leader.

You see, these qualities have to go together. If you are a good motivator but don’t have good habits, then things will fall apart. If you have great habits but can’t motivate, you will not inspire anyone to help you along the way. If you want to separate yourself from the rest of the ‘leaders’ in this world, master these two characteristics.
