For example, if the kids had a time to brush their teeth, take a bath, and go to bed that would make the night go a whole lot smother for the kids and parents. The problem is that if these groups of people don't set their goals for the day they do not seem to get anything accomplished.

There is a lot of people out there that do not set any goals for their self and they soon find out that they do not know they want in three of five years from now. It is a good ideas to set goals for yourself and if you set them early in life that just might make life go a lot smoother for you and your family.

The goals that you do set for yourself should be practical and reasonable to that you do not set goals that are completely out of reach for your time period that you have set and then you would not have to struggle too hard to get the goals accomplished.

Some of the goals that you may set for yourself could be more schooling, better job, less stress, even marriage etc. It is always a good idea to set goals for you and work hard to get them accomplished. Therefore, lets get started in getting our goals set for the year and work hard to get them done.

1. You do not need to be on every internet marketers email list.

This is one I have really only recently forced myself to learn :-) I suppose we think by being on every internet marketers "ezine" list we are going to get the inside track or as most of us tell ourselves keep our eye on the competition but in reality you only end up spending half the day going through email after email of people selling to you. Now its good to expose yourself to the way other internet marketers do things and you can find out about some great resources and products but you must limit this otherwise you are wasting valuable time that you should be spending on YOUR business. To combat this I give the person who's email list I have joined 5 emails if you try and sell me without giving me any content in every email I unsubscribe simple!

2. No product has the secret to make you rich overnight.

This one was a real problem for me, I suffered from get rich quick mentality so I was leaving myself wide open to any product that promised to make me rich in the shortest possible time. I am sure that is what many of us was attracted to internet marketing in the first place. There is NO product that will make you achieve success overnight or even in your liftime. It all depends on whether you have enough will to succeed and persistance to keep trying.

3. The best way to learn is by doing it yourself.

It's great learning from other people's experience however until you get your hands dirty and work things out for yourself, what worked for someone else will not neccesarily work for you only then will you truly understand how to replicate your success and make your own blueprint.

4. Don't waste time freebie hunting.

Many of us start out trying to find everything for free due to limited budgets, tight ass ways etc. You must realise nobody is going to share every tactic and tip with you especially not for free. Buying products will give you the shortest learning curve, the rest you will work out for yourself with experience and testing.

5. Work on one project and one project only.

When intenet marketing really starts to click in your head you start coming up with all sorts of ideas, this can be fatal because you will jump from one project to another without actually getting any live. For your first project make sure you concentrate on it 100% once you become an internet marketing whizzkid only then can you start getting your fingers in all sorts of pies.

More and more people are now instead making a lifestyle choice and one of the most popular options taken is starting a home business. It doesn't take much to realize why this is so popular. Not only is child care expensive but the obvious benefit is the opportunity to dictate your own terms as to when and how you manage your work and family times.

So what the are critical keys to creating a successful home business that works.

1. Discipline. As with most things in life discipline plays a part but with a home business where you are the boss this is even more so. You have now managed to dwindle you daily commute to a little over a few minutes it takes you from getting out of bed to your home office. But what you save in commute you want to now create a work place schedule or habit that will enable you the greatest chance of success. Because we are at home we can all to easily fall into the comfort trap and start to be distracted with the housework, the kids, household errands and chores or even the dreaded TV. You wouldn't step out of the office with your employer to go run and errand so why would you now that you own your own business. Create a disciplined schedule for yourself with regards to work and there is no reason why you can't be flexible with it now that you are boss.

2. Motivation. There is a sense of being isolated when you first start out in a home business. When previously you enjoyed the company and interaction with fellow colleagues and the gossip you are now left largely to your own devices. You no longer have access to other people to give you advice and support. This doesn't mean you are alone in your journey you just now need to adjust yourself to your new found situation. Learn to setup KPI's or key performance indicators that you can be excited about and reward yourself when you get them done. Why not setup a target and once it is completed give yourself a break or an opportunity to run an errand if you so desire. Also look into small business associations. They are a great source of help and also gives you a chance to interact with other home business owners going down the same path as you.

3. Balance. After all you started a home business to get some family and work balance in your life right. All to often when we start out with our own business we want it to succeed. Unfortunately this may mean that you work longer hours then you previously did when you worked for someone else. You need to remember why it was that you started the business to begin with. If it was to enjoy a better balance then make sure that you aren't always working at the expense of spending time with your kids. Learn to switch off from work at designated times of the day such as time to pick up the kids from school etc so that you can really be in the moment and enjoy the time with them. Separate your work and home life and you'll find greater enjoyment with both.

At the end of the day starting a home business can be a greatly rewarding experience. You will gain freedom and a greater sense of control over your life.

Be Persuasive When You Sell

When you are selling your products to clients, you don't want to be pushy about it, you want to be persuasive.

Have you ever been around a sales person who seems to have everything going for him?

He has no problem talking to people, people like him, he seems to meet all of his sales goals so effortlessly.

This is not because he is lucky, or he was born with a natural gift when it came to selling. It is because he took the time and effort to make sure he went into the field well trained with the appropriate sales skills and product knowledge to make his sales seem as though they come without any effort.

This sales person, through hard work and sales training, has given himself the power of persuasion because he has the ability to find out what it is that his customers need.

When a sales person is being pushy with their product, it is a turn off to the customer. The last thing a customer wants, is somebody they just met up in their face who won't stop talking. Pushy sales people come off rude, unprofessional and unknowledgeable.

From a customers point of view, a pushy sales person comes off as someone who just arrived from a one day sales training course on one particular product. Who is then sent out into the world to sell that product to anyone that will listen.

Most consumers can see right through this.

Persuasion takes subtlety. In fact, it is much easier to persuade someone to buy your product than to actually sell it.

Persuasion involves getting your customer to "buy in" to your product, or to see things from your point of view.

You must first get to know your customer. Take some time to ask a few personal questions. Such as where they live, what their occupation is, do they have any pets, etc.

People love to talk about themselves, so ask questions.

Once you get to know your customer, find out what their needs are. You can than match up your products to their needs.

Explain the benefits of your product, and give them a visual in their mind of themselves using your product. If you are selling baseball bats, give them the visual of using the bat to hit a home run in the bottom of the ninth too win the ball game.

Don't do all the talking, listen to your customer. Listening is perhaps one of the most important sales skills you can posses. You can find out so much about your customer just by listening.

To persuade your customer to buy your product is to find a common ground with your customer. Smile, be courteous, answer their questions, learn what their needs are, listen to their concerns and try to alleviate them.

Once you have established what their needs are, tell them about the products you have that could satisfy their needs. Remember, don't sell the product, tell them about the product, and what it can do for them.

Don't think of it as selling, think of it as a normal conversation that you would have with one of your friends. Your sales will become more enjoyable, and they will also increase. Good luck.

The function of watches has also evolved. The first watches only told the time. Then many watches told the time and the date. Now you can find a watch that will calculate for you. You can also take photographs, listen to music, and watch movies using a watch.

The function of watches is not the only thing people look at when they decide on the watch that they are going to wear. They also look at the style of the watch. Divers look for a diving watch that can withstand a lot of pressure. Connoisseurs look for golden watches, watches with gems, or watches that are unique in different ways. Scientists search out wristwatches that can help them do their work better. Adventurers seek out watches that are tough and functional for their lifestyle. Children are attracted to the watches that are cute and whimsical. Sometimes they seek out the ones that play the little tunes, like the Disney watches. Teenagers tend to look for a watch that is fashionable and trendy.

The watch that we wear is not only functional but tells who we are as a person. Make sure that the watch that you choose shows people your true self. Your watch should compliment your arm as well as your fashion sense.

The place to purchase watches has also evolved from specialty shops to just about anywhere that you find merchandise. Antique stores have wristwatches. You can find watches in many of the stores that you would find in a mall. Auctions, boutiques, and even street corners are also places where you can buy a watch. Another place that you can shop for watches is online.

Watches are not done evolving and changing. People are still tinkering with wristwatches. They are continually looking to improve the technology in wristwatches. They are also continuing to seek out new functions that they can add to watches. Just as our fashion sense in clothing changes so does our fashion sense in watches. Watches are forever being redesigned to fit the current trends and styles. Some things in this world may be done changing, the watch, however, may change so long as people’s needs and wants continue to change.

Whoever you are you can find a watch that fits your needs and wants. Remember that people are continually making watches to fit our functional needs and wants so that we will always be able to find the watch that best fits us.

One of the biggest challenges for Canadian company owners is obtaining business financing. As a first instinct, owners usually try to go to the bank hoping for a business loan or line of credit. Although large companies can qualify for bank funding, most small and midsized companies can’t. However, small companies are not out of options. There are two alternatives.

If the business sells goods or services to other businesses and your main challenge is that they need money to pay suppliers or employees, the solution could lie in using two little known financing products – invoice factoring and purchase order financing.

Most small and midsized businesses have cash flow problems because clients take 30 to 60 days to pay their invoices. Although waiting to get paid is a standard business practice in Canada, it can wreak havoc on the company’s finances. Because, while waiting to get paid, business owners still have to pay employees and suppliers, who coincidentally, don’t like waiting to get paid. Factoring financing can provide an advance on your invoices, supplying the cash flow the business needs to pay employees and suppliers.

Another common cash flow problem happens with a reseller gets a large order that he can’t afford to deliver. Usually, this happens because they don’t have money to pay their suppliers for the goods they need. In this case, purchase order funding may be the solution. Purchase order funding provides pre-delivery financing, allowing you to pay your suppliers and to deliver your orders. The transaction is settled once the end customer pays.

Both factoring and purchase order financing have several advantages over business loans and conventional bank financing. For starters, they are easy to obtain. Most small business owners that do business with reputable clients will qualify. Also, they can be implemented very quickly. Most companies can obtain funding within 5 to 10 business days.

However, factoring and purchase order financing are not for everyone. It will only work well if three things are true. First, you must sell to commercial customers. Consumer sales cannot be financed. Second, your profit margins must be at least 15%. And lastly, it will only help you if you have slow paying customers or if you need financing to fulfill a large order.

The LMS is an enterprise software platform for managing talent as well as analyzing, storing and delivering learning. Sheetz is using the software to instruct more than 10,000 employees, across more than 320 stores, on safety, customer service and preparing food.

In terms of getting a return from its investment, Sheetz has a number of objectives: to reduce the time it takes to get an employee certified in their job area, to cut the transaction time at point of sale and to boost the accuracy of orders.

This is a new investment in technology for Sheetz, as there was previously no LMS in place. George Depetro, Sheetz senior instructional designer and a member of a multi-functional LMS project implementation team, said, "We want to drive consistency. We want people to get the same great product across the six states we serve. There's a need for rapid e-learning because we want to quickly turn around programs to our employees. With the SumTotal system in place, we believe we can train our people at the point in time when they need it most."

The LMS also will allow Sheetz to closely monitor employee performance and ensure adequate training for those that need additional help. Depetro said, "We plan to measure a lot of our stores' performance simply by analyzing what happens at the automated point-of-sale devices. If we see workers, or managers, who aren't performing on par with other stores' personnel, we can flag courses in the LMS to help those individuals bridge the gap with training."

The LMS will allow a greater degree of control for compliance. This will help Sheetz's management meet a commitment to high standards. One example of this will be delivering instruction to all Sheetz employees on their responsibilities when selling restricted goods such as alcohol and tobacco.

In the short term, the use of the LMS will be concentrated on delivering courses that show employees how to assemble food such as hot or cold sandwiches. The courses also show workers how to run point-of-sale devices. Additional courses will explain why it's necessary to use exact proportions of meats, cheeses and condiments for food preparation, all in easy-to-follow and relevant ways.

Although the emphasis is currently on training employees in the network of stores, in the longer term, Sheetz plans to use the LMS to deliver management training.

The LMS will also give Sheetz employees the option to go back to a course and get more learning when they need it. With an increased understanding of processes and procedures, Sheetz believes employee turnover should drop too. The LMS will deliver courses that teach workers how to handle multiple priorities, which will improve customer service; workers will know what to expect when a store suddenly becomes very busy.

"Delivery of consistent and efficient in-store training is a critical business problem for all retailers," said Josh Bersin, president and founder of Bersin & Associates, a research and advisory firm specializing in enterprise learning and talent management. "An integrated, easy-to-use LMS platform such as SumTotal's solution provides benefits at all levels. Corporate executives can get up-to-the-minute information on critical compliance training for stores and regions; operational managers can track employee progress and course completions; and employees are more knowledgeable and receive the just-in-time training needed to do their jobs."
